Agriscience and Natural Resources

This exciting one-year program provides students with hands-on learning experiences in the classroom, barn, greenhouse, and outdoors while working with animals, plants, and natural resources. Students will develop skills for careers in agribusiness, animal science, environmental studies, food processing, horticulture, natural resources, and technical systems. Areas of study include sustainable agriculture, greenhouse and plant systems, forestry, animal anatomy and physiology, nutrition, reproduction, and animal health. Through real-world experiences, students will build technical skills, leadership, teamwork, and career readiness while exploring the many opportunities within the agriculture and natural resources industries. Students who successfully complete the first-year curriculum may apply to return for a second year in Advanced Skills courses, Work-Based Learning (WBL), or industry certification opportunities.
