Special Education

At Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District, we believe every learner deserves the opportunity to belong, learn, and thrive. Our Special Education Department partners with local school districts, families, and community agencies to ensure children and young adults with disabilities receive high-quality, individualized supports from birth to age 26. Whether providing early intervention services, specialized instruction, related services, transition planning, or intensive programming, our focus is always the same: Improving outcomes for students while supporting the people who serve them. Together, we are building inclusive schools, strengthening local capacity, and ensuring every student has access to meaningful learning experiences and a meaningful future.

This includes, but is not limited to: all student documents for uploading into EdPlan, any questions you need answered, help/support questions, resource needs, etc. Receiving correspondence this way creates efficiency for us, and our responses to you will be handled with accuracy in a timely manner!

What the support levels mean:
Critical – needs an answer before the end of the day (if there are more than 2 hours left in the day)
High – needs an answer within 24 hours
Normal – needs an answer in 24-48 hours
Low – does not need an answer within 48 hours
